Spring lock washers
are made of spring steels, 65Mn and #70 steels or stainless steels. Its formed from a steel wire or square bar to a spring shape. When the washer is loaded it acts like a spring and feflects, providing a preload between the two surface. It's used together with a screw and nut, some times also need a flat washer. Spring Lock Washer are widely used industrial construction, facilities and machines, fastenings. The common steel spring lock washers could be in zinc coated, yellow zinc coated, hot dipper galvanized and black oxide, while the stainless steel spring washers generally passivated offers a better corresion resistant and durability.
